  I have hit a brick wall for Ramon Sr and his father Antonio and mother Bruna. I come back occasionally to see if any new records have surfaced or any new family trees or new information, but have come up empty, for now. The best that I can gather is that Bruna passed away shortly after Ramon was born, and then Ramon (maybe all 3 brothers) was adopted by Louis and Petra Barrera at some point. Antonio went on to marry Francisca Acosta and had 7 or more children with her. Ramon was still living with Petra in the 1900 census, on the same property or right next to Antonio and family. I am wondering if Petra was somehow related to Antonio or Bruna. In the 1900 census, Ramon was single/widowed with 3 children and Petra was also widowed, living together in Victoria. In 1910, Ramon was living with the kids in Bee County, no sign of Petra that I could find. The next time I find Ramon is in 1926 in Bay City listed on Petra's death certificate as her informant. She is listed on the death certificate as Petra Figueroa, not sure if this is an accident or what. Ramon died 2 years later also in Bay City. Both show the place of burial or removal to be Bay City but I have yet to find them buried in the cemeteries here. I still do not know who Antonio or Bruna's family is. Waiting for, rather hoping for, records or a new tree to turn up soon. ~Bethany
